White Ritual

Shake up the French electro scene landscape: this is the mission of White Ritual. This darkwave foursome from Strasbourg sweeps away the stereotypes that restrict their musical world to the 80s goth scene. In tune with the now, the sounds of White Ritual offer up an alternative to the old clichés thanks to an impressive musical cocktail that mixes vocals, synths, guitar and drums. The group was formed in January 2019 thanks to the man behind the White Ritual project: Ricardo Gomes, ex-singer of the metal group Absurdity and composer/producer better known as zNo.

To form the quartet, Ricardo has called on Cedric Belzunce on the guitar (ex Absurdity), Nicolas Brehm Bull Terrier on the drums (ex Crocodiles INC, Project White) and the spellbinding Coralie Setan on vocals. This is the set-up from which White Ritual composes their tracks, inspired by an eclectic set of influences such as Killing Joke, FKA twigs, and Chelsea Wolfe. With a strong musical identity, the group showcase a thrilling yet melancholic voice immersed in an atmosphere as dark as it is electric. As for the lyrics, they capture the emotions of the complexity of human nature, with stories of tension, doubts, feelings of abandonment, love, life, death and beliefs.

It goes without saying then that White Ritual are raring to release their first album: In&Out. The 14 tracks will be accompanied by a series of video clips that match perfectly with their captivating and mysterious musical world. To celebrate the release of their first work, the band are planning a tour around Europe, starting off with Germany and France. Under the wing of the label Darktunes, White Ritual promises to be the mother of tsunamis in the world of Electro-Dark. They are not to be missed.
